Sausage & Peppers – a one pot meal

• 6 sausages (pork, chicken or turkey)
• 2 green or red peppers, cut into strips
• 1 medium onion, sliced
• 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
• 2 T. olive oil
• 2 tsp. garlic powder
• 2 tsp. Italian seasoning


Toss the vegetables with oil, garlic powder and Italian seasoning. Layer half of onions, peppers & mushrooms in crockpot or casserole. Place sausages on top of this. Top with rest of vegetable mixture and cover tightly.
Crockpot – Cook for 6 hours on low.
Oven – Cook at 375 for 40-45 minutes.

You can serve these with hoagie rolls or slice the sausage and serve over pasta.
